What Jon Does
Woodworking
Jon’s woodworking falls into two overarching categories - cabinetry and furniture and sculpture and carving - although projects frequently cross between and blend categories.
Each piece Jon creates is meant to last and tells a story, whether his, the client’s, or the material’s.
Building
Jon can build and has built every part of a home (and many other buildings). His experience has focused primarily in the Cambridge and MetroWest Boston areas and frequently involves historical homes.
While he is comfortable and competent with conventional construction, his heart lies in timber framing and that love shows in his work.
Cabinetry and Furniture
Tables, wall-hung and freestanding cabinets, bookcases, coat racks, fireplace mantels, entertainment centers, picture frames
Sculpture and Carving
Tabletop and wall-hung art, indoor and outdoor sculpture, chainsaw carvings, carved elements in furniture/building
Construction and Carpentry
Home additions/renovations, decks, stairs and railings, door and window building, wood siding, pole barns
Timber Framing
Farmer’s porches, garden sheds, chicken coops, greenhouses, sugarhouses, reconstruction/repair of timber frames
